Abstract

Since man realized the inevitability of death . he tried to solve its mystery . As a result of helplessness in this issue , he turned to make use of the pleasure of life continuously , he also trie to make his surroundings obey his desires . This is what called the existential anxiety.
A close reading of Mualaqat Tarfa shows that the poet is concerned with pleasure rather than duty . We study in this paper the signs of this anxiety . The study is divided into two section: the first shows the signs of following pleasure and the second shows the attempts of the poet to exploit others in order to achieve his illegal desire . the study is concluded with a conclusion that sums up the results which the present study arrived at.
