In this study, newly synthesis alkyl imidazolium bromide ionic liquids (ILS) and their complex salts with several transition metals. The prepared ionic liquids included 1,3-diethylimidazoluim bromide (A1) and 1,3-diallyl imidazoluim bromide (A2). These ILs were reacted with transition metal chlorides (Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II)) in a 2:1 molar ratio to form their complex salts. The synthesized organic salts and complex were characterized by physical methods, in addition to using various spectroscopic techniques, including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H and 13C NMR), mass spectrometry (MS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), electronic spectroscopy (UV-Vis), and elemental determination by atomic absoption spectroscopy (AAS), Additionally molar conductivity measurements and magnetic susceptibility were conducted, confirming that all synthesized complexes adopt Suggested a tetrahedral geometry. The biological activiy of the prepared organic salts and their complexes was evaluated by testing their inhibitory effects on the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria using the disk diffusion method, Most organic salts and their complexes showed varying effectiveness against the bacteria used in the study.
